About Me

I can’t remember when I first realised that I enjoy telling stories; I must have been a child. That long forgotten moment was the point at which my writing career began. After graduating with a first class BA (Hons) in English Studies from the University of Cape Town, I began freelancing for local and international publications.

My by-line has appeared in The Callsheet, The Event, SPAR Savour, Telkom Future Now, Huffington Post, SA Chef, GroundUp, SA Feminist, The Tempest, Design Times, The Mary Sue, Thought Catalog and Mail and Guardian’s Thought Leader.

While primarily a food, lifestyle and entertainment journalist, I am open to telling any story of value.

Services Offered

I am available for projects of varying lengths; I specialise in editing academic writing. I have worked on several Commerce Honours and Masters theses and am open to editing other genres. I am also comfortable doing development work for magazines and newspapers.

Aside from being available for journalistic assignments as discussed above, I am always game for a content marketing or copywriting assignment. I have worked for major South African brands; these have included Telkom, SPAR, Capitec Bank and Unilever Food Solutions.

Given my background in literary studies and education, I am also available for academic assignments and collaborations.

Having obtained a PGCE with distinction, I am a qualified English and Life Orientation teacher, and have valid SACE registration. Currently, I am pursuing an MEd degree at the University of Cape Town. In this capacity, I am available for part-time locum posts, speaking engagements, workshops, and am always happy to write on the topic of education.

Natasha is our star! There are so many reasons as to why but two very important reasons stand out for our company; she is reliable in both her ability to write an incredible piece as well as sticking to deadline. She even accommodates the most ridiculously tight deadlines and produces quality. I highly recommend her. She’s an absolute professional.

Writing a mini-dissertation for my Economics Honours’ degree was a daunting task for me, to say the least. I didn’t know whether I had presented my arguments clearly enough or how a paper of this nature should be written and my supervisor never seemed to follow through when I asked for guidance. Natasha edited and proofread the paper - returned it to me on the same day! The best part was that I could completely trust her to do this job to the best of her ability such that the final result was exactly what I needed.
